one of their pranks for anarbor’s last show was to wrap up this GIANT houseplant in like… a tablecloth to look like a massive joint and then they walked on stage carrying it above their heads, and danny had a big candle to ‘light’ the joint omg it was so weird. andy was filming so i’m sure it’ll be on a video update soon.
jokes!

Interview with Seth Johnson of The Audition
How do you feel Great Danger is being accepted by fans?
Well I think it has been accepted really well, tons of kids sing the new stuff so loud on this tour, it is great. It seems like an album a lot of our fans love and that’s important to us.
How was the writing process for Great Danger different from your other albums?
Mmm… nothing really much different than what we usually do, we are all very interactive with the songs as we write and that was the process we used to create this record.
What is your favorite song from Great Danger?
“Final Adventure” - It’s such a different song, we always have a couple tracks that are off the wall when we are writing and we just had to release this little nugget of insanity.
Now that you guys have four albums released, there has to be some extra tracks laying around. Any plans for a b-side album or anything like such?
If we do a re-release or deluxe version of Great Danger we have some b-sides we would like to put out, we shall see.
After four albums released, are you happy with the success of the band or do you feel like you guys are under-rated?
Success to me is setting a goal for yourself and constantly attaining that goal and setting new ones after. We’ve always wanted to craft great pop-rock records while pushing the boundaires of what we could do as musicians while touring the world. I don’t feel like we are under-rated at all.
Favorite dream tour to be on?
Jay-Z, Arctic monkeys, Jacks Mannequin… with us opening.
What’s one thing you would change about the band’s past as a band?
Nothing at all, everything we have done up until now has brought us here so to ask for anything different would be wrong.
What’s your favorite memory with the band?
Just being able to grow up and become a man on tour, to learn about the world while traveling and seeing it all first hand. That’s not really specific but that’s what I will always remember.
What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Touring more with great friends and playing the new record around the world.
Anything else you’d like to mention?
Enjoy our new record Great Danger and come see us when we play near you.
